USA Basketball
USA played their first official game of the Olympics after a handful of warm up games. They trailed Serbia 10-2 early, but would go 108-74 the rest of the way for a 26 point victory. Kevin Durant came off the bench in his return and was electric with 21 points on 8 for 8 shooting at half as LeBron James also scored 21 points with 9 assists and 7 rebounds. Interesetingly, Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Haliburton didn't touch the floor this game.
Okoro - DFS Trade
Isaac Okoro remains on the free agency market, but there have been discussions about him potentially on the move. The Cavaliers may go into the second apron if they resign Okoro which has led to rumors of a sign and trade that would ship Okoro to the Nets for Dorian Finney-Smith.
Expert Analysis
What are the ‘experts’ saying?
“Don’t have the brightest future, but hey, it’s a championship. Anthony Davis has been exceptional as a member of the Purple & Gold and is the perfect fit next to LeBron. Just hope the Lakers can acquire some more draft picks to help with their not-so-exciting future.”
Jack Sucker, Jack’s Thoughts
““Since I got here, I've honestly just considered it a blessing,” Jackson told reporters before summer league. “I feel like too many times in situations like mine, I don't get to come in to a new situation and just be myself. The whole Pacer organization, from the top to the bottom, they have allowed me to just come in here and be myself, give energy to the team, give energy to the organization.””
